Modular Approach

get the skills you need on your terms

The modular approach is for students who would consider themselves to be highly motivated, self starters looking to work on their licences and ratings at their own pace. The modular approach is the traditional pathway to becoming a pilot and has been for decades. The approach consists of a four to seven module process that takes students from aspiring pilot to commercial pilot.

The modular approach is separated into 4/7 modules. Certain modules contain distinct ground and flight training objectives organized to present material in a logical sequence and to maximize the effective use of time. Students follow the typical progression of professional flight training at Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC).

Commercial Pilot Licence

A World Class Flight Training Experience

A commercial pilot is paid to fly—whether it's a small aircraft or a large airliner, it’s their profession.

If you already have your Private Pilot Licence and aim to fly professionally, the next step is earning your Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). At WWFC, you can complete your CPL at your own pace with a personalized training plan developed in collaboration with your instructor.

Our CPL program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. Before starting any portion of CPL training—ground school or flight training—you’ll be required to sign an Ontario Career College contract.
