The modular approach is for students who would consider themselves to be highly motivated, self starters looking to work on their licences and ratings at their own pace. The modular approach is the traditional pathway to becoming a pilot and has been for decades. The approach consists of a four to seven module process that takes students from aspiring pilot to commercial pilot.
The modular approach is separated into 4/7 modules. Certain modules contain distinct ground and flight training objectives organized to present material in a logical sequence and to maximize the effective use of time. Students follow the typical progression of professional flight training at Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC).
A commercial pilot flies for their job – big plane or small, they are getting paid to fly.
Once you have your private pilot licence, and becoming a professional pilot is your goal, the next licence you will need to complete is your Commercial Pilot Licence. At WWFC you can work towards your CPL at your own pace, with a customized plan that our CFI will help develop with you. CPL is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. Our CPL flight training program requires you to sign a Private Career College contract prior to commencing any part of your CPL training – ground school and/or flight training.
This program will prepare students without previous flight experience for an airline career in an exciting and accelerated format. The program includes distinct ground and flight training objectives organized to present material in a logical sequence and to maximize the effective use of time.
