For our flight instructor team members getting the hours isn't the main focus. When a student succeeds and performs their first solo or first soft landing after numerous practice flights on the circuit, they get to experience both the exhilarating roller coaster of frustration and pride. Additionally, they improve their knowledge and abilities in a comparatively short amount of time.

WWFC is now accepting applications for one Summer Student who is enrolled at a post-secondary institution in the Aircraft Maintenance program.
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Hourly Rate: $19.00
Employment Type: Full time, seasonal
Position Overview:
Aircraft Maintenance Student must have keen interest in aviation mechanic and will work directly with the Director of Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
In the role, you will:
- Develop your skills by performing and ensuring proper completion of all
maintenance activities, with the support of experienced AMEs
- Ensure that all components installed on aircrafts are properly certified
- Report unserviceable maintenance equipment
- Carry out duties as per the appropriate maintenance manuals, maintenance, and quality control systems, while confirming with Transport Canada regulatory standards
- Adhere to the Safety Management System Policy and Procedures
- Complies with all applicable regulations such as Transport Canada, Occupational Health and Safety
- Keeps up to date records and documentation on aircraft, parts, procedures and personnel
- Complies with tool control
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment at all times
- Cleans and maneuvers aircraft as required
- Assist in all other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary Aircraft Maintenance Program
- Attention to detail, with good problem solve, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience on Piper twin, Cessna single engine, DA40 is considered an asset
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must possess strong interpersonal, decision making, organization and communications skills

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Student Office Assistant to join our team for the summer term. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role is ideal for a student looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, supportive office environment. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining and organizing key documentation while supporting various departments with administrative and event-based tasks.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the creation and assembly of new hire packages and employee ID cards
- Support planning and coordination of staff events, including summer BBQs and other company gatherings
- Work with the Bookkeeper to prepare daily fuel chits, organize expense records, and file accounting documents
- Support the Marketing & Communications Manager on various initiatives, such as Girls Can Fly,
- Assist with archiving and organizing company documents
- Provide support to the Client Experience team, including entering data into the student database Assist with archiving and organizing company documents
- Assist clients at the Pilot Shop, including inventory counts and general service
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry

Shift: Sunday to Thursday with a possible afternoon shift (12 noon – 8:30 pm)
Position Overview:
The WWFC Maintenance Department supports the Flight Training Institution by ensuring all aircraft are properly maintained, safe, and ready to meet the needs of the Flight Department. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all maintenance procedures and inspections are carried out as per the maintenance schedule and/or the manufacturer’s maintenance manual
- Performs all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness
- Ensures that all documentation is done according to company procedures and CARs
- Performs and/or assists with troubleshooting and rectification of defects
- Ensures that all aeronautical products installed on all aircraft have proper certification
- Ensures that all unserviceable aeronautical products are tagged with the company unserviceable tags and placed in the quarantine area
- Accurately complete all work orders such as service documentation, log books and shop logs in a timely manner
- Performs various duties including engine runs and aircraft towing, as trained and authorized to do so
- Helps with maintaining a clean and safe workplace including some general shop maintenance/clean up
- Demonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statement, policies and current standard business practices.
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements:
- AME Restricted to M1 license
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience with fixed wing aircraft, preferably small piston engine aircraft
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Mechanically inclined, ability to work with your hands
- Strong time management, organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as work independently

We have multiple opportunities for Flight Instructors!
We offer high-quality instruction to students seeking a career in the aviation industry at various levels. Instructors not only teach in the aircraft, but also in the simulator and ground school classes. Instructors will be expected to teach lessons from PPL through to Multi-IFR, as per appropriate ratings and training, and to have some administrative responsibilities in addition to flight training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Canadian Flight Instructor Rating
Preference will be given to applicants with some, or many of the following:
- Group 1 Instrument Rating
- Previous employment as a pilot
- Airline Transport Pilot License
- Mulit/IFR teaching experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Instructor is an experienced, safety and service-oriented professional. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality, efficient flight training program through the supervision, direction, and development of instructional personnel and flight training programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributes to the continuous improvement of WWFC’s flight training programs by:
- Leading or contributing to program enhancement or delivery projects, as assigned
- Acting as a flight training subject matter expert
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the training process, and developing and implementing training process improvement
- Demonstrating an action- and solution-oriented approach to providing direction, problem-solving or correction to ensure programs are delivered effectively.
- Upgrade training (Multi-Engine, IFR, FIR)
- Continuous improvement of MEIR Program and FIR program performance, including syllabus & training resource enhancement, process streamlining, and instructor training and development
Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities for a team of instructors of any class, including:
- Coaching instructors regarding syllabus framework and lesson conduct
- Support instructor professional development and training activities, including monitoring flights or other training events
- Support student success through the identification of issues and the development of training remediation plans
- Upgrade, additional, remedial, and recurrent training for assigned flight instructors
- Conducts supervisory staff meetings
Facilitates the delivery of training programs by:
- Performing direct flight, ground, and simulator instruction
- Conducting competency-based assessments with a focus on finding and correcting root causes
- Conducts debrief of the evaluation/training flight for students and instructor, including, discussion on strengths and weaknesses, and recommendation(s) for improvement

- Promotes a positive attitude towards learning and embracing new technologies.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the training process and implement training process improvement
- Evaluates and recommend emerging training software technology and tools to support continued efficiency and improvements in departmental processes
- Demonstrates the Company mission, vision, and values statement, policies, and current standard business practices.
- Performs various other duties as required to meet organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Aviation Flight Management
- 5-10 years of relevant leadership experience
- 2-5 years of instructional delivery
- Class I or II Flight Instructor Rating
- Focus on service - identifies and anticipates customer requirements, expectations, and
- Strong leadership, team-building and managerial skills
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills are
- Aviation instruction is a highly specialized function that requires the instructor to have prior aircraft operating experience and the ability to hold creditability and the attention of the student/customer attendees
- Critical Skills: Proficiency with Micro Soft tools, ability to work in a team environment and support cultural diversity.
